Fur bears / bunnies

When I started my business in 1997, we were living in the Canadian prairies and the majority of the memory bears I made were from fur coats. Many people had kept their Grandmother's, and in a few cases, their Grandfather's fur coats. These coats had significant sentimental meaning for families as they were often entwined with stories of adapting to the harsh prairie winters. So rather than the coat simply hanging in a closet it would come to me to be lovingly repurposed into several bears so that many family members could have tangible visual reminder of the past.

Many people hold on to clothing items that are precious to them whether it be a child's first baby sleeper or a shirt worn by a loved on who passed away.
